Royals Charities, the charitable arm of the Kansas City Royals, is pleased to be able to provide financial donations in support of military-related programs and events. Since 2003, Royals Charities has provided grants to several military-related organizations, including the Fort Leavenworth Army Base Family Readiness Group, the Fort Riley Army Base Family Readiness Group, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation,Wounded Warriors, Whiteman Air Force Base and USO.
Royals players, alumni, broadcasters and mascot Sluggerrr make visits to military bases or hospitals as part of the annual Royals Caravan. In 2013, Royals fans personally created thank you cards during Caravan and during Fanfest for service members resulting in a Royals Charities donation to the USO of $10,000.
