On April 5, 1996, Sluggerrr made his major league debut at Kauffman Stadium where he became the official mascot of the Kansas City Royals. This loveable lion has entertained millions of baseball fans at Kauffman Stadium and has made thousands of special appearances throughout the Kansas City area and the United States. He continues to be a fan favorite and is present at every home game each season.
