Own a download of Game 7
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
  • Download any game of the ALCS

It looked like it was Roger Clemens' final game, pulled with the Yankees trailing, 4-0, in the fourth inning.

It didn't look good when Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez took a three-run lead into the bottom of the eighth inning.

    Looks can be deceiving.

A furious rally tied Game 7 of the ALCS before Aaron Boone's 11th-inning home run sent the Yankees to their 39th World Series.

Now you can own this memorable game.

MLB.com's new and exclusive Digital Download Service lets you do just that. For just $3.95, you can order Game 5 of the ALCS and then download it with a high-speed connection right to your hard drive 24 hours after the final out.

You can also download any of the other 2003 Yankees postseason games.

Sure, you love those stories handed down about what it was like to watch Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and other Yankee legends win all those series. Sure, it would be wonderful to time-warp back to those moments and see what those pinstriped days were all about. But here is where the past meets the future -- more postseason success in that Yankee tradition, digitized as your own clickable collectible.

Old school: Play a classic over and over in your memory, or maybe tape it on a VCR and watch it later on the same TV. New cool: Download a 2003 playoff game, burn it onto a CD for optional storage, watch it again at your convenience at the office, on an airplane, anywhere you can to be a futuristic Yankee fan.

In fact, you might want to begin your own digital library by downloading any of the ALCS games, at $3.95 per game. As long as the Yankees keep winning, they have the home-field advantage right through the World Series, and there are many Yankee fans who would only consider it fitting for the Bronx Bombers, with 26 world championships already in tow, to be an integral part of the celebration as Major League Baseball recognizes the 100th anniversary of the Fall Classic.

The Digital Download Service makes it easy to do. File sizes range between 400-600 MB, and a typical game runs about two hours with commercials removed between innings. The RealVideo file will take approximately 40 minutes to download from a broadband connection (DSL may take longer).

If you are doing this for the first time, then this could the beginning of your very own Yankee video library that mixes any 2003 postseason game you choose with some blasts from the past. MLB.com's exclusive Baseball's Best library now is making many of its classic broadcasts available for you to download, and that includes that 1978 one-game playoff in Boston, where Bucky Dent shocked the rivals up the coast. Yankee fans also can now download the game this season in which Roger Clemens won his 300th decision and struck out his 4,000th batter.

The Digital Download Service is one of the many exclusive video products and services available at MLB.com through this postseason. Visit MLB.com's Video Central for a menu of choices, and get access to even more exclusive products with subscription packages such as Total Ticket, Fantasy Ticket and MLB.com Broadband.
