Predictions: ALCS Game 1, NLCS Game 2
Experts expect strong performances from Sabathia, Manny
With familiar foes facing off in MLB's Final Four, will history be made, or will it simply repeat itself?
If the Phillies' victory over the Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series is any indication of what's to come, the top-seeded Yankees and Dodgers might not be on a World Series collision course after all.
Which brings us to Friday's action: Game 2 of the NLCS at 4:07 p.m. ET on TBS, and Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, scheduled for 7:57 p.m. ET on FOX.
Will veteran right-hander Vicente Padilla stop the bleeding and get L.A. back in the series in front of the Dodger Stadium faithful?
Or will the heavy-hitting Phillies take another step toward returning to the World Series behind legendary Game 2 starter Pedro Martinez?
In the ALCS, will ace CC Sabathia help the Yankees exact revenge on the franchise that's eliminated them from the postseason twice in the past eight years?
Or will the AL West champs continue to have the Yanks' number and return to the Fall Classic for the first time since they won it all in 2002?
Only time will tell.
In the meantime, the charts below break down how some of the game's leading experts from MLB.com and MLB Network see Friday night's action shaking out.
