No way Jeter missing Opening Day
Shortstop ready to play final opener at Yankee Stadium

Jeter took a ball off his right hand during infield practice on Saturday at Dolphin Stadium, playing three innings and going 0-for-2 with an error before leaving the Yankees' 4-2 victory over the Marlins.
Jeter went through a workout on Sunday in New York, taking ground balls on the Yankee Stadium field. He said, predictably, that he was ready to play in Monday's season opener.
"I'm good. No problems," Jeter said.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced his Opening Day lineup before Sunday's workout, listing Jeter as the club's No. 2 hitter and shortstop. Girardi was similarly concise about Jeter's condition.
"Derek's fine," Girardi said.
The Yankees' complete Opening Day lineup behind starter Chien-Ming Wang for Monday's game against the Blue Jays is as follows: Johnny Damon, left field; Jeter, shortstop; Bobby Abreu, right field; Alex Rodriguez, third base; Jason Giambi, first base; Robinson Cano, second base; Jorge Posada, catcher; Hideki Matsui, designated hitter; and Melky Cabrera, center field.
