Yankee Stadium to offer variety of fare
Barbeque, garlic fries, sushi among numerous food selections
By Anthony DiComo / MLB.com
New offerings at the stadium will include a Latin Corner, serving Cuban sandwiches, nachos and burritos, a Noodle Bowls stand with Asian-inspired cuisine, a Soy Kitchen serving sushi and salads, and a Triple Play Grill serving beef and chicken sliders and steak sandwiches. Popular chain restaurants such as Johnny Rockets, Brother Jimmy's BBQ, Dunkin' Donuts Coffee and Moe's Southwest Grill will also have stands.
That's in addition to the Hard Rock Café and NYY Steak restaurants, offering full-service menus throughout the calendar year.
The Yankees will also bring back many of the old concessions from their old stadium, including Carl's Steaks, Mike's Arthur Avenue Italian Deli, Premio Sausage and Nathan's Famous hot dogs. Roughly 70 percent of the concession stands will have cooking capabilities, up from 40 percent at the old park -- meaning that there will be less prewrapped food at the stands.
The Yankees are also offering $3 hot dogs, $3 soft drinks and $6 beers at their park. Traditional stadium fare -- hot dogs, peanuts and the like -- will remain at the same prices as last year.
