By Bryan Hoch / MLB.com
Frey played 15 years of professional baseball, including two seasons with the Yankees in 1947-48.
A second baseman and shortstop, the three-time All-Star (1939, '41, '43) played in three World Series, winning the title with the Yankees in '47.
Frey also played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1933-36), Chicago Cubs (1937, '47), Cincinnati Reds (1938-46) and New York Giants (1948). He was a career .269 hitter in 1,535 Major League games.
With Frey's passing, Tommy Henrich (96) is thought to be the oldest living Yankee.
