A-Rod's RBI streak ends
Yankee had knocked in a run in eight straight playoff games

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the free pass in the final inning marked just the third time in postseason history that a team has given an intentional walk to the potential go-ahead run with the bases empty in the ninth inning or later.
It was the second time A-Rod had been walked under those circumstances in the series. In Game 3, Angels skipper Mike Scioscia ordered up an intentional pass of Rodriguez with no one on base in the ninth inning and the game tied 4-4.
In the 2003 NLDS, the Marlins gave a free pass to Barry Bonds in the ninth inning of Game 3 and escaped the inning without allowing a run.
Thursday, A-Rod scored on Robinson Cano's two-run triple in the seventh, which at the time put the Yankees ahead, 6-4.
