Madonna to perform at Yankee Stadium
Pop icon to hit stage with concert in Bronx on Sept. 6

The seven-time Grammy Award winner has had a record 37 Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart along with a record 40 No. 1's on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Song Charts. She has sold over 300 million albums and holds the record for the most successful tour by a solo artist.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday at 10:00 a.m. ET at Livenation.com. Yankees full- and partial-season ticket licensees, Yankees Universe members, Yankees Group Leaders and Yankees.com subscribers will have the opportunity to take part in a special pre-sale at Yankees.com/madonna.
The stadium hosted its first concert in September 2010, when Jay-Z and Eminem performed the New York half of their "Home and Home Tour." The tour featured two performances in Jay-Z's hometown of New York, along with two concerts at Comerica Park in Eminem's hometown of Detroit.
Paul McCartney held two concerts at the stadium in July 2011, and metal groups Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax performed in an extravaganza called "The Big 4" in Sept. of '11.
Madonna's gig isn't the only concert scheduled for Yankee Stadium this season. Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters will bring his production of "The Wall" to the Bronx on July 6.
