Yankees return for six-game homestand

Highlights include Tino Martinez Day, Old-Timers' Day, and various ticket specials

The New York Yankees will return home tonight for the first of six games at Yankee Stadium this week. The stretch of games will feature a three-game series vs. the Toronto Blue Jays (Tuesday-Thursday) and a three-game set vs. the Baltimore Orioles (Friday-Sunday).

On Saturday, June 21, the Yankees will host Tino Martinez Day at Yankee Stadium. Martinez will be honored with the unveiling of a Monument Park plaque prior to that day's game vs. the Orioles at 1:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by noon. Acquired by the Yankees in a trade with Seattle prior to the 1996 season, Martinez went on to play in seven seasons with New York (1996-2001, '05), helping lead the team to four World Series victories during that time (1996, '98-2000).

The Yankees will hold their 68th Annual Old-Timers' Day on Sunday, June 22. Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. with the traditional Old-Timers' game to follow, both of which will be aired exclusively on the YES Network. The Yankees will then host the Orioles at 2:05 p.m., also airing on YES. Gates will open to ticket-holding guests at 10:00 a.m. and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 11:15 a.m. for the festivities.

As part of the pregame ceremonies on Old-Timers' Day, the Yankees will honor Rich "Goose" Gossage by unveiling a Monument Park plaque that will recognize his Hall-of-Fame career. Gossage, who was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008, played in parts of seven seasons with the Yankees (1978-83, '89), winning a World Series with the team in 1978.

Ticket specials will run on Tuesday, June 17 (MasterCard $5/Military Personnel Game), Wednesday, June 18 (Military Personnel/Student Game), Thursday, June 19 (Military Personnel Game) and Saturday, June 21 (Youth Game).
