Led by Alex Rodriguez's sixth homer, Johnny Damon's first long ball and six shutout innings from Andy Pettitte, the Yankees won their second straight game at the Metrodome. Pettitte encountered little trouble, facing only one three-ball count against 22 hitters. Kevin Thompson drove in a pair of runs with a double in the ninth inning.
