Monster homer saves Yanks
Jeter torments Red Sox
For seven innings, the Yankees managed only a Robinson Cano homer off Curt Schilling, but Derek Jeter broke a tie with a three-run Green Monster shot off Schilling in the eighth to set up a win that clinched the season series, 10-8. Mariano Rivera saved it despite loading the bases.

Long ball crushes Schilling
Curt Schilling outlasted Roger Clemens in a rematch of Game 7 of the 2001 World Series, but he had no answer for Derek Jeter, whose three-run homer in the eighth was too much for the Red Sox to overcome. David Ortiz popped out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning.
