Ian Kennedy had control issues in his first start of 2008, and that led to a 2 1/3-inning debut with six runs allowed. Hideki Matsui hit his first homer in a four-run third, but LaTroy Hawkins was unable to keep the game close, allowing six of seven runs in the eighth.
