Alfredo Aceves gave the Yanks just what they needed in his first start, firing seven strong innings to beat the Angels. Derek Jeter passed Babe Ruth on the Yanks' all-time hit list and Alex Rodriguez (33) and Johnny Damon (13, 14) went deep.
