The Yanks jumped ahead early on Derek Jeter's RBI single, and Andy Pettitte held off the Tribe for five innings before leaving with back stiffness. The 'pen was up to the task -- Alfredo Aceves and Mariano Rivera preserved the win, which moved the club into sole possession of first.
