With Jorge Posada suspended, the Yanks called on third catcher Francisco Cervelli late, and he delivered in his lone at-bat, driving in Brett Gardner with the walk-off run in the ninth. Hideki Matsui homered to tie the game in the eighth, which gave New York its first runs since the first.
