Howard & Amy Rubenstein
Howard and Amy Rubenstein were married in 1959, shortly after Howard started his own public relations firm and Amy was a senior at Barnard College.
When Howard, now chairman of Rubenstein, started the business more than 60 years ago, he set the professional standard for the practice of public relations across the country. He represented the Yankees for more than 40 years, was a close advisor to George M. Steinbrenner III, and served on the board of the YES Network.
Howard has served as a member of numerous civic organizations, and currently sits on the Executive Committees of the Real Estate Board of New York, NYC & Co., and the Association for a Better New York, which he helped to found.
Amy has run her familys steakhouse, Peter Luger, for decades. She is on the board of the New York JCRC and is a trustee of the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. She has also been a board member of the UJA Federation.
Whether it's assembling care packages for our military, distributing food vouchers to the needy at Thanksgiving, providing local children with a safe Halloween, brightening up the holiday season for thousands of youngsters, or collecting food for the local community, the New York Yankees Foundations mission is to touch, enhance, and change lives all-year-round. Our outreach is not just locally-based, and events like the Homecoming Dinner provide us with the financial ability to support organizations like the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, various Alzheimers related causes, and the ALS Association of Greater New York.
