HOMESTAND NEWSLETTER
SEASON TICKET LICENSEE HOMESTAND NEWS

Dear Season Ticket Licensee:

The New York Yankees are back in the Bronx starting on Friday, April 24 for a three-game weekend series vs. the cross-town rival New York Mets before they take on the Tampa Bay Rays next Monday through Wednesday. If you're thinking "that seems early for the Yankees to play the Mets," you're right! This will be the earliest #SubwaySeries since Interleague Play started in 1997. In another twist, the Yankees won't go to Citi Field until September, which will be the latest regularly-scheduled visit the team will have ever made to Queens.

Homestand Fun Fact
#TANAKATIME: On Saturday in Tampa Bay, Masahiro Tanaka tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, striking out eight batters while allowing just 2H without issuing a walk. How rare is that? It was just the 10th start by a Yankees pitcher since 1914 with at least 7.0 scoreless innings, two hits-or-fewer, no walks and at least eight strikeouts! The last Yankees pitcher with those numbers in a start was Randy Johnson on July 26, 2005 vs. Minnesota (8.0IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 11K).
