The annual Oakland A's Community Fund Golf Classic was held on August 21, 2014. Current and former A's players attended the event, which raised $100,000 for the A's Community Fund through the tournament, along with silent and live auctions. Next season's event will be held on May 14, 2015; sponsorship packages are not available at this time.
Join the A's for the 16th Annual Root Beer Float Day on Wednesday, July 22. Oakland A's players, local celebrities, and various Bay Area radio and television personalities will be on hand to serve Root Beer Floats in the Eastside Club.
Since 2003, the A's have raised over $414,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through this event.
The annual A's Breast Cancer Awareness Day has benefitted the American Cancer Society, Cancer Prevention Institute of California, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Over the past 16 years, this event has raised more than $1.25 million for breast cancer education and research.
Funds were raised through the sale of special ticket packages, commemorative pins, hats, pink jerseys, heart ribbon pendants, an A's autographed quilt raffle, and fan and sponsor support.
Pregame ceremonies featured over 500 Bay Area breast cancer survivors forming a symbolic human ribbon on the field in dedication of hope and survival, and the release of white doves as a symbol of hope.
In addition, as a part of "A Gift of Faith" grant, the A's donate $5,000 annually to a local charity in memory of longtime KTVU Channel 2 reporter, the late Faith Fancher.

On June 21, 2014 the Oakland Athletics hosted the 2nd Annual A's Bowling Bash. The A's Bowling Bash event brings together A's coaches, players, and the community for a fun night benefiting the A's Community Fund.
Oakland A's pitchers Sonny Gray, Dan Otero, and Drew Pomeranz made the 2014 holiday season special for a group of deserving children at the A's Community Fund's annual holiday party at the Oakland Zoo, presented by Round Table Pizza. The trio of pitchers signed autographs and took photos with 220 students from Parker Elementary in Oakland, a reward for the students' excellent attendance and classroom behavior. Each child received a wrapped gift, courtesy of the Good Tidings Foundation, and the day also included face painting, arts and crafts, and a visit by Santa and A's mascot Stomper.
Every Saturday and Sunday home game (and select weekday games), the A's Community Fund hosts a silent auction featuring both signed and unsigned A's memorabilia as well as game-used items. The silent auction is located in the A's Fan Center behind Section 120 and ends with the last out in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the A's Community Fund and various other local charities. Purchased items are tax deductible.
