Red Goes Green

2014 Phillies Red Goes Green Sustainability Initiative Contest
Presented by Citizens Bank

The Phillies are asking teachers to submit a description of sustainability efforts they have in place in their classroom. Whether it's recycling, an anti-litter program or composting, share what you are doing to teach your students about how to care for the environment.

There will be one prize winner. To be an eligible participant, you must be a teacher in a Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania school. Winner will be notified on Monday, March 31, 2014.

  Guidelines
  • Submit a description of the sustainability program you have in place in your classroom, grades Pre-K through twelfth. Maximum 500 words in length.
  • Description must include goals and objectives of the program as well as requirements of the students.
  • All entries must include: teacher's name, email, phone number, grade taught and school's name, address, and phone number.
  Prize
  • Winning teacher will be recognized on field before the Phillies vs. Braves game on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:05 p.m. when the Phillies will be celebrating sustainability during Red Goes Green Day.
  • Winning classroom will be treated to 25 complimentary tickets to the Phillies' Red Goes Green Day game on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:05 p.m. Includes an option to purchase additional game tickets.
  • Photo of winning classroom engaged in their sustainability program will be listed on phillies.com/redgoesgreen.
