SFG Productions, the in-house production company of the San Francisco Giants, was recently awarded a Northern California Emmy Award for Inside the Clubhouse - The Journey. The award-winning program chronicled the Giants' quest for their first World Championship in San Francisco.
SFG Productions' producers and videographers followed the Giants from mid-September through their historical post-season run, accumulating more than 90 hours of footage, and the hour-long show aired on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and NBC Bay Area in December and January.
For the second straight year, SFG Productions brought home the award for their work on the Inside the Clubhouse television series. The Emmy was given for the program: Inside the Clubhouse: All-Stars which originally aired in August of 2011 on the Giants broadcast partner Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. The show featured the 2011 San Francisco Giants' All-Stars as they competed in the annual All-Star Game in Phoenix, Arizona. The program also went behind the scenes with the Giants top prospect outfielder Gary Brown as he played in both the Future's Game and with his parent club the San Jose Giants.
